One of our clients is looking for a Writer in downtown Toronto.

You will be working closely with the Operations team and will be reporting to the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager. You will be responsible for researching, planning, writing and editing a range of marketing and communications material. You will be mainly focusing on creating and rolling out content for the operations team.

Responsibilities:

To write communications material for internal staff who communicates regarding the administration of various benefits

To create content for external stakeholders

To create informative and educational content for internal staff conducting interview

To write engaging content for online platforms and print materials

Help create content for company’s intranet and support to create content for corporate events

Assist the communications team by providing ideas on enhancements and improvements

Ensure the content is accurate and aligned according to the internal communications standards

Skills:

University or College degree in journalism or English, or equivalent experience in a corresponding role

5+ years’ experience in public relations, journalism and/or marketing communications

Experience writing in a variety of tones and voices

Comfortable with all facets of writing for a variety of audiences whether it be for internal / external stakeholders, media, digital channels, social media, print material, etc

Creative, with the ability to communicate complex content in an easy-to-understand way

Familiar with the principles of writing for online as well as print content

Superior proof-reading skills

Eye for detail

A great team player

Strong technical writing skills

Experience in social media communications an asset

Collaborative, professional, accountable, trust worth

Proven experience interviewing external and internal stakeholders

Excellent editorial, organizational, and communications planning skills

Experience working with content management software is a strong asset
