We are looking for a Supervisor for our client a well established Canadian Company. This role will involve conducting analysis, coordinating and performing the financial and accounting activities.

Responsibilities:
Managing 5 individuals – accounting and non accounting staff
Ensures posting of all transactions to the general ledger including reconciliation of sub-ledgers
and general ledger accounts.
Maintains the transmission clearing account
Prepare key month-end entries relating the balancing of retained earnings
Co-ordinates for the year-end closing and work with external auditors
Understands the Market Rules on Market Finance functions and develops procedures/processes
and recommends system changes as necessary to implement the Market Rules.
Contributes to the development of training packages process improvements, policies and
procedures.

Skills and Qualification:
Requires CPA/CA Degree with 4 years of university degree in a business discipline such as
Commerce or Economics
Requires a background in financial accounting and reporting
Experience in developing accounting processes
Excellent understanding of Market rules applicable to the financial management and reporting
requirement
