JOB SUMMARY

The Enterprise Applications Administrator – Web Specialist provides support and operational management of all enterprise-class applications with a specialization in Linux-based web services. As a member of the Enterprise Applications Team, the incumbent will manage all other enterprise applications and will be primarily responsible for the day-to-day operation of the corporate marketing websites, internal student and faculty facing sites. 

As the primary support resource for these systems, the incumbent connects with staff, faculty, and students via the case management system, telephone, online conferencing, and in-person as best suited for each particular support inquiry. To assist in managing workloads, this individual leverages the production team, network administrators, and other IT staff resources to assist in training, testing, and deployment initiatives.  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides front-line support to all staff, faculty, and students for all WordPress and Moodle LMS-based websites, and other enterprise systems as required.
  • Connects with users via the case management system, phone, online conference, and in-person, escalating between communication methods as best suits the needs of the individual and their specific support inquiry.
  • Facilitates internal technical support for general websites, and initiates escalation to other IT resources.
  • Collaborates with external vendor technical support when required.
  • Manages and implements configuration and workflow logic changes when approved through change management processes.
  • Actively participates in planning, discovery, and implementation meetings for related systems projects and customization/integration initiatives.

POSITION PROFILE

A. Education and Experience

 

  • 3+ years of demonstrated strength in supporting and administering or managing web content and LMS systems
  • 3+ years of demonstrated proficiency in WordPress and Moodle LMS administration
  • Proficiency with SIS systems such as CampusManagement CampusNexus Student is an asset.

 

  • A diploma in a related discipline is required

  • Excellent ability to dissect and learn unfamiliar systems and processes quickly and effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills in a support-centric environment
  • Proven proficiency with managing and resolving support inquiries from multiple channels efficiently and accurately
  • Proven business process analysis and deconstruction skills, including workflow translation and documentation
  • Proficiency with MySQL, queries, and database systems
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
