Mandate

The role of IT Project Manager is a key position within the Company’s Information Technology Services team. This role requires a superior level of project delivery that will enable business capabilities across the organization.

Position Requirements

Project Delivery

  • Apply fundamental project management skills, tools, and techniques in the leadership of IT projects of varying scope and size.
  • Engage the business in the development of project plans including scope, budgets, and the identification of required resources.
  • Assemble internal and third-party resources for the successful execution of projects. Coordinate project team members and assign individual responsibilities.
  • Manage all phases of projects to guarantee on-time completion and ensure projects are appropriately documented and recorded.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of project communications, including risk assessments, updates, and the escalation of complications.
  • Provide detailed analysis on successful or unsuccessful deployment actions 

People Leadership

  • Able to provide cross-functional leadership and direction in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Advocate for project management capability and mentor team members in proper project techniques and procedures.
  • Able to quickly adapt to the organization and understand the strategies and operations of the company.

 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate is an experienced project leader, an excellent communicator that displays confidence and commitment. They will have a high level of drive and creativity, able to apply superior conflict resolution skills, as well as effective decision-making and negotiating abilities. Preferred qualifications and skills are:

  • 7 to 10 years of progressive information technology project management experience.
  • Experience leading and delivering successful enterprise-level IT projects.
  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline
  • A critical thinker, strategic in approach, organized and efficient, with a breadth of cross-organization functional knowledge.
  • PMP certification
  • Experienced in SDLC as well as Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of PM tools such as Wrike, MS Project, and SharePoint.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel and Visio.
